MIERLO – On Sunday, around four o’clock in the morning, a robbery was committed at a house on the Reigerslo Estate between Geldrop and Mierlo.
There were no injuries, but the perpetrators stole money and jewels, along with the couple’s car, a black Freelander 2 Land Rover with license plate 82-HH-FB.The residents, who caught the burglars themselves, were threatened with something that looked like a gun. The three offenders were all wearing balaclavas and spoke an Italian dialect as well as English.The property in Mierlo is owned by the Van Doorne family, the founders of DAF. There are more houses on the estate, and it is unknown if that family was targeted.Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
