Military parade in city centre Oirschot

OIRSCHOT – The army takes over Oirschot. During the Army Days a parade of ‘zandhazen’ (sand hares) rambles through the city centre of Oirschot.

The army wants to thank with this the inhabitants of Oirschot on Saturday, May 12 for their good cooperation in recent years.Ten military units wil gather there, including cavalry, fanfare Concordia – Spoordonk and the Guild of Saint Joris Oirschot. Ten military vehicles are driving along in the parade. At the head of the parade the fanfare will be marching and at the end will be guild. The route runs through Molenstraat, Rijkesluisstraat, Gasthuisstraat, Nieuwstraat  and finally to the Market. There a VIP stand will be build.The Army Days (depart on time, traffic jam guarantee) will be held this year on May, 12 and 13 at the Generaal-majoor de Ruyter van Steveninck barracks.
