EINDHOVEN – The first Dutch Technology Week (DTW) will be held from 1st to 8th of June in the smartest region of the world. Professionals, scholars, students and the public will be surprised with technological innovations during this week.
On Friday, June 1st the DTW starts with the event Smart Meets Smart, where among others a prominent Nobel laureate is present. During the DTW everyone can experience technology and feel that technology provides innovation, is socially relevant, contributes to a large extent to prosperity and well-being and is challenging to work in and invest in.”With the Dutch Technology Week, we can show how we contribute in this region to solutions for major social issues such as energy, health and mobility,” said Jo van Ham from the Technical University Eindhoven.With the DTW the initiators aim to strengthen the international reputation of the Dutch high-tech industry. With the ambition to let DTW grow to an event of the caliber of the Dutch Design Week.There will be events at the TU/e, Fontys, the High Tech Campus, in the Evoluon and many more activities for example RoboNED Conference 2012 and TEDxBrainport 2012.
