Rabobank welcomes international students

Moving abroad as a student means arranging all kinds of official stuff. Apart from all your student matters at university there are things you need to organize outside the campus. Like residency, housing, furniture, mobility and how about a bank account and insurances?

Rabobank Eindhoven-Veldhoven is trying to make things easier with providing specific services for international students in Eindhoven.

They offer the Rabo student account (Rabo StudentenPakket). It features a bank card to be used at ATM’s and shops in the Netherlands and Europe. It also provides you with access to Rabo internet banking on your computer and smartphone.

Besides a bank account, at Rabobank you can also take out necessary insurances for students.  A health care insurance is obligatory while living in the Netherlands but a fire and theft insurance to protect your belongings, a liability (third party) or a travel insurance can be a big relief when things go wrong. You can assemble your own package to meet your own specific needs. For example when your laptop gets damaged, not while traveling to another country but while making your way to a lecture. The more insurance policies you take out, the higher the discount, which is good news for students. You can find more information on student insurances here.

The internet banking and the information on the website is in Dutch only at the moment (in English soon) but you can go to one of the many Rabobank branches in Eindhoven or Veldhoven. The one in the city centre of Eindhoven, Emmasingel 4, is especially for international students. There you can get personal advice or open an account. You can also give them a call at +31 (0)40 293 60 00 if you need more information.
