Today, VVD MP Karin Straus is visiting Stedelijk College and Summa College in Eindhoven. A central theme of the working visit is regional technical education for vmbo and mbo school levels.
There is close cooperation in the Eindhoven region between technological companies and vmbo and mbo educational institutes. Technical education has to meet the needs of the regional jobs market.
Eindhoven aldermen Depla and Visscher will also be present during Straus’ visit. At Stedelijk College, Straus will be observing some lessons, and at Summa College, she will visit Teclab, on Frederiklaan, where students learn to anticipate demands in the innovative high-tech industry, in a practical situation.
