The Eindhoven food bank together with supermarket Jumbo hope to distribute many Christmas packages to poor families in the city again this year.
By a national aid campaign of Jumbo, last year, nearly 2,000 packages were delivered in the Eindhoven region. This year there will be a similar action. Under the motto ´join in and donate a dinner´, from Wednesday onwards, Jumbo customers can buy a coupon during checkout. By this coupon they are donating money for the Christmas meals. The food bank will make sure the packets are delivered to the clients.
In the Netherlands there are weekly 94,000 people depending on the food bank.
