PSV will be leasing Belgian football player Maxime Lestienne (23) for one year from the Qatari club Al Arabi, PSV reports.
Further, the Eindhoven team have negotiated an option to buy the player. Lestienne will join the team after completing formalities. PSV is now preparing in France for the new season.
Lestienne replaces Memphis Depay. Lestienne made his debut as Number 16 in Mouscron. Shortly after the club went bankrupt, he transferred to Club Brugge. Since then, the French-speaking Belgian became a crowd favourite.
At the beginning of last season, Lestienne was bought by Qatari club Al Arabi, after which he was immediately leased to the Italian Genoa CFC., The no. 6 of the Series A.
The winger joins PSV in next season’s Champions League. The Belgian hopes to play as number sixteen, the number he normally wore at his previous clubs.
