The Eindhoven singer Sharon Kovacs has won the Radio 6 Award for Best Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Talent. She received the award in Amsterdam last night.
Radio 6 is the public radio station for soul and jazz music. At the beginning of this year Kovacs had her breakthrough with the song ‘My Love’. In the Talent category she had to compete with IET, Sarah-Jane, The Cool Quest and the Wicked Jazz Connection.
In other categories Caro Emerald, Alain Clark and Wouter Hamel also received awards. This was the third time the Soul & Jazz Awards were awarded.
