The police arrested a group of shop-lifters stealing clothing from a store at the Piazza Shopping Centre on 15 March.
The video cameras placed at the store showed a group of six shop-lifters in action. These images were seen by the shop’s security employees and by members of the police force. Five were detained and the sixth shop-lifter managed to escape. It is believed that he managed to take stolen clothing with him.
The police found out that this group of Polish shop-lifters had a car parked in a parking garage. In the car, more stolen clothing was found. The police impounded the car. Presently, the police are investigating the origin of the stolen clothing found in the car.
The five shop-lifters remain in custody pending further investigation.
