The police are looking for witnesses of the arson in a building in the Kruisstraat last Sunday evening.
Just before midnight a fire broke out in the building. An employee from a store nearby extinguished the first flames, and a few minutes later the fire brigade took over.
Witnesses have seen a man running from the scene toward the Gildelaan. He was tall and wore a light colored T-shirt.
He would almost have been run over by one or more cars, while he was running away. The police are now looking for car drivers and are asking other witnesses to report everything they know.
