DTW 2019: innovations, kids’ tech events, and lobbying for women

A live robotic surgery, thousands of students getting acquainted with new innovations, and an event to attract more women to the technology sector – this is a selection from the Dutch Technology Week’s (DTW) programme, which starts on Monday.

DTW is a week in which companies and knowledge institutions come together and network and where young people are made enthusiastic about technology. It is a week where visitors can get acquainted with the innovative power of the high-tech region of Eindhoven.

Activities are planned at various places in the Brainport region and beyond. New this year is Female Tech Heroes at the High Tech Campus. Former European Commissioner, Neelie Kroes, and 600 women will delve into the technology sector and the possibilities for women to get started in that sector.

New events

There is also an election debate with political parties in the Klokgebouw. What Europe can do for the tech companies in the Netherlands will be discussed. There is a technology event for young people in Breda too.

In addition to new activities, there are also DTW annual events. For example, this year too, there is the Night of the Nerds in the Klokgebouw. Here 5.000 high school students can experience new technological developments.
