Chip manufacturer NXP semiconductors posted profits in the second quarter that were 9 percent higher than the same quarter last year.
The former Philips daughter company announced this on Thursday.In the last quarter NXP posted a net profit of 111 million euros. Over the same period a year earlier, the company had a loss of 90 million dollars. Turnover grew to 1.2 billion and the profit increased by 9 percent to 170 million dollars.
