Free Internet in Brabant Cities

A new company, Bullseye, aims to provide free internet in five Brabant locations. The service should be available at the end of the summer and is to include Den Bosch, Breda, Eindhoven, Tilburg and Helmond.

At the moment users can only access the internet in the centre of cities.  “We link the hotspots virtually”, explains director George Seton from the company in Tiel. In this way users who are, for example, logged on in Tilburg, will automatically be logged on if they are in Den Bosch.According to Seton the service is attractive as smart phone users are not restricted to their data limit. “They have unlimited access and the wifi connection is more reliable.” It is the aim that at every hotspot 500 users will be able to access the internet simultaneously. Every 150 metres there will be a hotspot.Bullseye’s revenue will come from advertising. Once every five minutes an advert will appear on the screen and after three seconds automatically disappear, according to Seton.Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
