Dutch Design Week attracts record number of visitors: 200,000

EINDHOVEN – The eleventh edition of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven attracted 200,000 visitors. That is 20,000 more than in 2011. The organization is speaking of an “very successful edition.”

According to Hans Robertus, Director of the DDW, “No matter how much this number shows its success, the most important goal that has been achieved is that participating designers have established good contacts with the industry and other relevant institutions.” The most notable trends during the Dutch Design Week (DDW) were co-creation and sustainability. Co-creation means that various designers work together on one project.
