EINDHOVEN – PSV has begun a partnership with the Thai insurance company AIA. This is the next step for PSV to strengthen the position of both the club and its main sponsor Philips in Asia. Last year, PSV made an agreement with the Indian football league.
PSV will travel to Thailand in January next year, invited by AIA. They will play a friendly match against the recent champions of the Thai premier league, SCG Muangthong United.PSV wants to differentiate by not only taking part in practice duels and training in Bangkok, but also by participating in knowledge transfer activities at the request of AIA. This means that representatives of the Thai football community will attend workshops on youth training, club management, marketing and sponsorship.In addition, PSV wants to help create a platform for the chief sponsor, Philips, around football in Asia, to strengthen the position of the club in the region.
