The sixth edition of the Eindhoven Film Festival begins Friday and will last for the entire weekend.
The theme this year: “Film is dead. Long live film!”. The media environment is rapidly changing and raises questions for the independent film maker. Questions like: How to tell a story in a game structure? How will professional film companies deal with new media? These enquiries will be discussed during lectures.
This year films from 45 different countries will be shown. Bold themes will be discussed, such as: gender transformation, refugees, and faith. New item this year is the Experimental genre. This is the reason why many submissions took place. To be watched, among many others, there is: “D U S T ” an experimental dance film, the documentary “Jordy in Transit Country” and fiction film “Elle est Belle”.
During the Eindhoven Film Festival independent films are celebrated and rewarded in all aspects and differences, there are 15 Golden Wing Awards to be presented.
