Gay ‘Frisofeest’ (Friso Party) stops after 22 years

Dancing your feet ‘to smithereens’ once more, that is the idea behind the ‘Frisofeest’ in the Effenaar tonight. The final edition that is – for now anyway.

The ‘Frisofeest’ has been an event for the gay community in Eindhoven and surroundings for 22 years now. The organization will no longer organize the party in its current form.

According to the organization, the party attracted fewer and fewer visitors. Together with the Effenaar other options have been considered. The successor to the ‘Frisofeest’, Friso Classic, will focus on music of the eighties, nineties and noughties.

Friso Classic takes place on 5 July, ‘Roze Zaterdag’ (Pink Saturday), at the Effenaar.
