Technical headquarters for Eindhoven children

Today (Wednesday), the Mayor opened the first central, technical workplace for young techies in Eindhoven.

About 120 children have been using the already existing Tech Playgrounds over the last two years. These are different locations where children can learn new technical skills outside of school. The Tech Playgrounds are an initiative of Dynamo Youth Work and the work centres are supervised by youth workers and volunteers.

There are many different building materials and state-of-the-art-technology to be found in this new technical headquarters. These include welding devices, soldering irons, 3D printers, and all types of ICT hardware.

Young tech-teachers organise workshops that focus on technology for, for example, school classes. The aim is that the workshop should be open seven days a week.
