A possible target of liquidation was carried away from Eindhoven Airport under supervision of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and police and brought to the Belgian border.

A tip had arrived at the police that the Belgian man would be killed with a firearm. The Belgian was just picking up his son at Eindhoven Airport at that time. In response to the potential threat, the police scaled up the presence at the airport.

The man and his family were traced and brought to the Belgian border under armed security, including a helicopter. At the border, the man was handed over to the Belgian police.

It is still unclear from which corner the threat came, how serious it was and whether the man is known to the police. The security at the airport has since been reduced.
