Chaos at Eindhoven Station

Yesterday (Sunday), at Eindhoven Station, some travellers had to wait up to three hours for transportation.

No trains were running between Eindhoven and Boxtel. This disturbance was caused by a power outage. The problem was solved at about 20:30 last night and services, gradually, resumed.

It seems the outage, which is reported to have occurred at 11:00, was caused by either faulty parts in a technical box or a defective cable. The cable has been repaired while the damaged technical box parts will be replaced at a later stage.

Express buses were running between Eindhoven, Boxtel and Den Bosch on Sunday afternoon. There were also regular buses between Eindhoven, Strijp-S, Best, and Boxtel.
