PSV-Feyenoord ends in draw

Everybody agrees: an exciting match! Yet, playing at home, PSV was unable to beat Feyenoord. The match ended in a draw.

During the first part, the Rotterdam team got the best chances and were more often in possession of the ball. The whole field was used and PSV created quite a few chances. Nevertheless, the greatest chance to score – for Luuk de Jong – went wrong.

Things should have changed when an hour into this match, Feyenoord had to continue minus one man due to a red card for Sven van Beek. The red card was a result of an incident involving Steven Bergwijn.

While neither team scored, things slowly changed. First, a nice, deep goal by Jørgensen ensured Feyenoord got ahead. But hardly a minute later, Lozano made the only goal Eindhoven’s team scored during the game.

PSV got the upper-hand in a final attempt to gain advantage. Yet Dumfries and Bergwijn were unable to score, despite getting quite close.

The result of this match ensured, Dutch media are pointing out today, only two points separate the number one and two in the Dutch competition.
