Model building association Stoomgroep Zuid organizes a fair for model trains in Veldhoven.
The so-called ‘Voorjaarsstoomdag’ (Spring steam day) will be held on Sunday 24 March. This is the 39th edition.
More than 300 model builders arrive on the steam day, they will show their own models there. Usually model builders work for months to years on their model.
Playing with coal
The fair includes ships, steam locomotives and hot air engines that all work. Outside, children can also ride along with coal-fired steam locomotives.
The Brainport region is known for technology and this exhibition shows that technology can also serve as a hobby and relaxation. The event will take place in the Heiberg in Veldhoven.
