Weekly international social dinner evenings at the social Cruydenhuisch in Eindhoven (Stratum)

The community for social inclusion COS31 organises weekly international social dinner evenings at the social Cruydenhuisch in Eindhoven (Stratum). It is a lovely opportunity to relish the cuisines and the cultures of the world at an affordable price. Best to go with an open mind and an empty stomach for full value!

Every Tuesday (except when otherwise announced) the community for social inclusion and innovation, COS3I, of the STIR Foundation (Stad van Morgen), organizes an international social dinner evening in the Cruydenhuisch, Kalmoesplein 73 in Stratum, Eindhoven. Each social evening event introduces the home cooking of a different culture from somewhere around the world. Everyone is welcome!

The cooking is done by people that originate from that particular culture and have the joy to share their culinary tastes with the community of Eindhoven. The evenings are meant for socializing among cultures, including the local Dutch and value the richness of intercultural exchange of tastes, music, customs, etc. The price is kept socially below 10 euros excluding drinks. Sometimes live music is added or people stay to play games together, dance or simply socialize among each other.

The social restaurant Cruydenhuisch re-opened recently under new management to develop the social interaction in the neighbourhood of Stratum. It offers daily (except on Mondays) general low-cost home cooking for anyone who wishes to join. The Tuesdays are for COS3I, a city-wide community dedicated to social inclusion of citizens and governance into the sustainocratic core human values defined and addressed by the STIR foundation of which it is part. COS3I works together with many social partners in town to organize awareness and connectivity programs for local health, safety and cohesion development.

For the coming weeks one can expect (subject to possible changes, keep a lookout on FB):

  • December 27th: Arabic evening
  • January 8th: New year with Peru
  • January 17th (a Thursday): Northern India
  • January 22nd: Mexico
