Coming Monday (19 November) FRITS Media will present a poetry book about Eindhoven. In this book you will find poems about Eindhoven by non-professional resident poets.
Last summer there was a public competition run by the magazine, of which the 50, or to be more correct, 57 best poems about Eindhoven have been selected. All of the 50 participants are invited on Monday to find out if their poem was received best by the jury.
Of all pieces published in the book, there is one in English, the rest is in Dutch.
The jury consists of Albert Kivits (Director Eindhoven Library), Rob Schoonen (Chief Editor Art Eindhovens Dagblad) and Jan Verhagen (Director Van Piere bookshop)
In total they received 150 poems from Eindhoven bards.
The first copy of EHVGDCHT (Eindhoven gedicht) will be handed to Alderman Monique List (culture) at 17.30 while the event starts in Ketelhuis at Strijp S at 17.00.
