Glider club Venlo-Eindhoven (VEZC) has a new record. One of its members became the youngest glider pilot in the Netherlands.

VEZC-member Emily flew solo in a glider, the past weekend. She became the youngest person to do so in this country. Emily was exactly fourteen years and two days old.

During a KA-21-lesson, she flew four rounds on her own. The glider club stated, Emily is a great talent.

About two years ago, the glider-clubs of Venlo and Eindhoven decided to merge. They are now known as Venlo-Eindhoven-zweegvlieg-club (VEZC).
