The economy of the Eindhoven Municipality is growing at an above-average rate: 4.7 percent in the past year.

This is according to the Central Bureau of Statistics(CBS).

The growth figures are mainly due to the growing industry in the municipality. Eindhoven has a lot of high-tech industry in particular. The economy of Eindhoven grew faster than that of the Netherlands in general. Of the five big cities in the Netherlands, the economy of Eindhoven grew the fastest.

Not only the municipality of Eindhoven is showing such strong growth figures, the economy of the entire Southeast Brabant region is growing quite fast. Earlier, the CBS and ING reported that the region is one of the fastest growing regions in terms of economy.
