Driver caught doing 200 km/h+

On Friday, a driver was forced to relinquish his driver’s licence. He was caught driving in excess of 200 km/h on the A2.

The man, driving a Mercedes, was observed on the police’s video surveillance. He was driving, on average, 202 km/h on the highway near Best.

The man from Geldrop was pulled over and had a gave an unusual explanation: the garage advised him to take the car for a spin at top speed for once. This was, apparently, meant to clean the catalytic converter.

If that happened, is not known. The man did, however, have to immediately hand over his licence. The speed limit on that stretch of road is only 130 km/h. So, he was doing 72 km/h over that limit.
