Transavia pilots want to go ahead with strike

Pilots working for Transavia plan to go ahead with a strike, potentially affecting flights in and out of Eindhoven Airport.

“For over fourteen months we have tried to enter in constructive negotiations with Transavia management, but they havn’t been forthcoming with any acceptable offers to their pilots”, the Union Vereniging Nederlandse Verkeersvliegers VNV (Dutch Union for commercial pilots) writes.

The pilots are demanding better pay and an improved work/life balance, according to the Union. “A strike seems to be the only way to enforce improvement at this point”.
