The date of the opening of the new TU/e wind tunnel is known; the tunnel will be officially taken into service on 14 December.
In March, the construction of the new and larger wind tunnel began.
There are several wind tunnels at the TU/e, but the new wind tunnel was desperately needed. Previously, scale models were used, but with the new atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel, large-scale objects can be tested like the Solar Team Eindhoven car.
