Mini stadium built for TU/e robots fan day

The MetaForum on the TU site has been transformed into a small stadium. There are four stands with a football field in the middle. Robots will show a demonstration there of what they are able to do at the end of the afternoon on Tuesday.

All novelties of Tech United‘s entire ‘robot family’ are demonstrated. For example, care robots can be seen, the new football robots and the HSR(Human Support Robot) from Toyota. Of the latter there is only one copy in Europe. The HSR has been available for students at TU/e for research since recently.

At the end of July, the team Tech United will go to the world championship robot football in Japan to prolong its World Cup title. The football robots that participate are renewed. For example, they now have eight instead of three wheels, making them faster and more stable. The care robots also aim at a podium spot in their category.
