The Eindhoven City Council is going to invest 40.000 euro in EMOVES Eindhoven. The subsidy is being granted because it is important to the municipality that the youth of Eindhoven keep physically active.
EMOVES wants to use this financial input to grow into an international festival in the years to come. They want to use it as a platform for young talent and professionals to be given a chance to be seen in the fields of music, dance, art and sport.
There are great urban sports like free running and tricking. Eindhoven youngster can meet top sports people through workshops, lessons en showcases.
Jakob Wedemeijer, Council Member for Sport is pleased with the investment from the city council. ‘This type of sport and activity, literally, began on the streets and is visible throughout the city. Eindhoven is on par with the rest of the world. Urban Sports belong in Eindhoven.’
