Two Eindhoven student teams join the Shell Eco Marathon in London. All participating teams must build a car in which innovation, technology and sustainability are the key focus area.
The purpose of the marathon is to drive as much as possible on 1 kilowatt hour or one liter of fuel. With self-developed, energy-efficient vehicles, the Eindhoven students will have to compete with more than 170 teams from 27 different countries.
The TU/ecomotive team is involved in the flax car, which is the first car made entirely of biocomposite. This means that the car is completely degradable. The team of Summa Automotive is the second Eindhoven participant. Last year they participated as well and became third in their category.
The Shell Eco Marathon in Europe will take place for the 32nd time this year and lasts from from 25th to 28th of May.
