The police have apprehended two men who were on a scooter after a chase in Gestel yesterday. The passenger on the scooter kept looking around nervously at the police car. It was for this reason that the police officers decided to signal the scooter to stop and a chase ensued.
Once arrested, it was determined that the driver was drunk and had no drivers license. The police also found six baggies of amphetamines (speed), bullets and a gun. When police officers later searched the man’s house, a stun gun and three more bullets were found.
The driver of the scooter will have to appear in court.
