Five hundred oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts) for Eindhoven elderly

Eindhoven elderly from nursing home Eerdbrand in Woensel-Noord receive free oliebollen. Oliebollen stall Vaartbroek bakes five hundred golden yellow balls for them.

Elles Speelman, who makes the donuts, says: ‘You will hear and read more and more about older people sitting in their pajamas half the day. Some may only go to the toilet at fixed times. I would like to do something for them by donating. ”

The oliebollen baker would like to do something for Eindhoven: “I think it’s so nice to be here with my stall. Woensel-Noord feels like a village, everyone knows each other and is so nice. So many people also come here to my stall just to socialize. ”

Speelman donates often in the month of December. Last year she donated two thousand oliebollen to people who need the food bank to survive.
