During the autumn school vacation Ziggo is organising a special Coder Dojo for girls in the Eindhoven city library.
During de Coder Dojo girls aged between 7 and 12 years old will be able to increase their knowledge of programming. They will be able to program their own stories.
The Coder Dojo is part of Code week. In the coming weeks various entertaining and educational activities are organised to prepare young persons for their future career in various part of the country. The code week started yesterday morning with a new world record programming. A total of 473 primary schools in the Netherlands participated, with a total of 11368 kids involved in the programming event they established a new record.
Ziggo is a partner of the code week, because the company thinks it is important for the Netherlands to have a leading role in the digital world. The company wants to invest in the talent of the future and thus accelerate innovation and bring about positive change in society. The company’s program ‘Talent of the Future’ aims to do this by teaching the young persons digital skills at a young age, before they make career choices and to enhance the popularity of working in the technical sector.
The Coder Dojo – Girls only is on Wednesday October 19 from 14:00 – 16:30 in the Eindhoven city library.
