Woonbedrijf Housing Association has announced that there will be an enquiry into why a crane fell in the Acaciastraat this afternoon. Woonbedrijf is currently carrying out renovation work there.
The crane fell while it was being placed. Two houses and a car were damaged, but no-one was injured. The residents of the damaged houses have been given temporary accommodation in a model home in the neighbourhood. They will probably be able to return home this evening.
How the incident with crane happened is as yet unknown, but Woonbedrijf intends to investigate it, together with the contractor carrying out the renovations.
Woonbedrijf does not believe that the incident will cause any delay to the renovation work.
