ASML is expecting record profits, even better than last year’s financial figures. It is estimated to surpass last year’s turnover of 6.3 billion euro of 2015.
This according to the Veldhoven based computer chip manufacturer as released during a presentation today on the subject of the semi-annual financial figures. ASML also announced that it has orders for four new e EUV-systems, which are advanced systems to manufacture computer chips.
Last quarter its turnover amounted to 1.74 billion euro, which is almost a third more than the previous period.
The net profit over the last three months amounted to 354 million euros, this against the 198 million euros in the previous period.
