Expat Spouses Career Event: Step out of your bubble

Alongside the ‘i am not a tourist’- Expat Fair the Expat Spouses Career Event is running on June 12th in Eindhoven. The main theme of the career event is to take action.

The Spouses Career Event is co-organized with Expat Spouses Initiative. An ideal event for partners of internationals who want to build a professional network, continue their education, pursue their career or succeed as an entrepreneur, it’s designed to be much more than just a career event.

The phrase "career event" evokes a different response in all of us, but most of us would agree that it’s usually a fairly awkward affair. Some of us stand alone in corners, engaged in extremely important imaginary WhatsApp conversations. Others are brave enough to pass around CVs and business cards left and right, only to get home and realize we hardly remember anything about the people we "met".

A ‘Career Lane’ is mapped out across the fair to facilitate strategic networking moments. It ties together workshops, presentations, pitches from job seekers and entrepreneurs, expert booths where they answer all career-related questions of internationals, and recruitment-related exhibitors.
A range of exhibitors will be present, looking to recruit and provide information about the Dutch job market. You will also meet representatives from some of the main industries such as High Tech Systems & Materials, Food, Automotive, Life Sciences and Design, and from non-profit organizations.

Expat Spouses Initiative enables meaningful connections between people. Are you ready to step outside your "expat bubble" and meet face to face with your career?

June 12th, in the VDMA building on Vestdijk, from 10:00 to 17:00. You can get a free ticket here. Please note that tickets at the door are 5 Euros.
