Alderman Torunoglu will fire the starting shot of the 4-day walking event: ‘Stratumse Avond4daagse’ this evening. This information was made public by the organisers of the event. The Alderman will also hold an opening speech.
An ‘Avond4daagse’ is a 4-evenings walking event held in many cities and villages throughout the Netherlands. Each evening a-5 km attractive walking route is planned, either through the neighbourhood, or through the woods in the area. In this case in Stratum Eindhoven.
It seems that more than 700 people have already registered to participate. Five hundred participants registered via the schools and the organisation expects approximately 250 additional participants.
It is still possible to register (open to everyone) this evening (Tuesday). The event will open at 18:00 hrs. and the walks will commence at 18:30 hrs. Tuesday is the event’s first day.
It is a 4-day event and the last day is on Friday, 3 June, 2016. The participants will receive a grand festive welcome on the last day, accompanied by a brass band.
