In the first three months of 2016 nearly a million passengers were transported via Eindhoven Airport. This amounts to a 14 percent increase as compared to the same time period in 2015.
The growth in passengers is as a result of more scheduled flights from Eindhoven Airport. In addition the growth was due to an increase of the number of passengers per flight. There were a total of 6,762 flights to and from Eindhoven for the first quarter of 2016.
A total growth of 6% is projected by Eindhoven Airport for the full year, which amounts to an estimated 4.6 million passengers by the end of 2016.
