International Career Day at the Hub Eindhoven

On 16th of March at the Hub, the annual International Career Day Eindhoven took place. Talents from all over the world living in Eindhoven could meet local organizations to receive information about international career opportunities.

The afternoon was intense and every hour a specific presentation or workshop took place like ‘Job interviewing in the Netherlands’ by Undutchables recruitment agency or ‘Your professional network-accelerator of your career’ by Expat Spouses Initiative. In the lectures, many tips and answers to participants’ questions were given.
During the TU/e session you could have your CV checked and Tias (European Business School) talked about ‘the added value of executive education’.

Betsy Lindsey from the U.S., who recently found a job in the Netherlands thanks to Expat Spouses Initiative held the opening speech. She elaborated on the difficulties of international spouses (having joined their employed husbands (or wives)) in finding a fitting job. Gaining access to professional local networks is not the first thing one thinks about looking for a job, but this is very useful in the Netherlands, she disclosed.

Thanks to the International Career Day, many job searchers went home not only with information about the opportunities available but also with the positive feeling that when you keep on learning, developing and trying, you will find a fitting job.
