GroenLinks: repair damage to greenery by extreme summer

It was an extremely warm summer in Eindhoven, and the greenery in the city has suffered considerably. This was highlighted by the GroenLinks (green party) at a meeting of the City Council. The party demanded that urban nature and greenery must be restored.

Due to alternating periods of drought followed by rainfall, many trees suffered heavily in Eindhoven. The party demanded a census of how many trees did not survive the summer and what the city council intends to do.

Also in a larger perspective, the party also raised questions on plans to deal with climate change in general and measures to cope with "extreme temperatures" in summer in future.
