Roparun collects 16,500 for Catharina hospital

The Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven has received 16,500 euros from the Roparun Foundation. With that money, the hospital can purchase a scalp cooler.

The foundation Roparun organizes an annual relay race over 500 kilometers from Paris and Hamburg to Rotterdam. Roparun is committed to people with incurable forms of cancer.

A scalp cooler can reduce hair loss during chemotherapy, or it even can be completely prevented.

A Roparun team consists of eight runners who run 65 kilometers. Other team members provide sponsors or do other tasks. Participants organize several activities to raise money. Activities like, packing the shopping, washing cars or helping in collecting money.
