Four ‘unknown’ Vincent van Gogh’s paintings are on display tonight at the presentation of the newest city glossy FRITS.
The Frisian owners are fighting for recognition of these, in their eyes, real paintings. Several experts did have a look at the paintings. They agree it concerns original works by Van Gogh. However, the Van Gogh Museum doubts the authenticity of the paintings.
In any case it is clear the paintings were created during the period Van Gogh resided in Nuenen.
