Business Compass, portal to find (semi) public services

Innovative entrepreneurs looking for services in the Brainport region, can now use ‘Business Compass’. It is a kind of digital “yellow pages”, on which all useful links to parties and relevant people in the (semi) public services can be found. The tool is arranged by theme, sector and stage of life of a company.

According to Monique Sonnemans, management consultant at Brainport Development, it provides information that is not easy to find via Google. "Entrepreneurs can search organisations by life stage (e.g., incubator and accelerator programs), theme (think of knowledge, advice, network in the field of technology or business development, or sector (industry). Or a combination of these."

The tool has been used by some entrepreneurs and the first reactions are positive. Geert Berkvens of MyHomeServices: "If this initiative had existed when I started my business, this would have helped me a lot. It is a good tool to quickly get to the right counter".

Business Compass is a ‘work in progress’ site and will stay like that. Sonnemans: "Because the activities and services in Brainport are ongoing, we will continue to develop Business Compass. We invite anyone with a good suggestion to let us know.

Furthermore we encourage service providers and companies to put a link on their website to guide their own customers to this portal. This will help the entrepreneurs and this service will be found better."

Business Compass is a joint initiative of Brainport Development, the Chamber of Commerce, REAP (regional economical action program) and Eindhoven-City.

At the moment not all information is available in English yet.
