The moment of truth has reached the Frits Philips Muziekgebouw (Music Building) in Eindhoven. Today, the city of Eindhoven presented its budget for the coming years. The sticking point in the budget is the Muziekgebouw as it is a losses incurred establishment.
The coalition refuses to increase the subsidy to the Muziekgebouw. As a result, the Muziekgebouw establishment should come up with another way to fill in the financial gap.
Opposition parties CDA and VVD will present a proposal to allocate 1.5 million Euros for turning the Muziekgebouw into a financially sound organization.
