The PSV- Excelsior game took place at the Philips Stadion early Sunday afternoon. PSV won 3-0 with goals scored by Adam Maher, Luciano Narsingh and Jurgen Locadia.
The game was mainly marked by the red cards the referee showed in the second half. One was shown to Bruma, who brought down Tom van Weert. The other one was for head coach Philip Cocu, who was sent to the stands for verbal dissent. He did not agree on the referee’s decision about sending off Bruma and left the coach’s box. The coach is not allowed to leave this box during the game, but Cocu was not aware of that rule.
Last week, PSV also finished the game with ten players. Joshua Brenet was shown the red card then. Bruma will not be able to play the next game against AZ.
