At the Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium the fifteenth edition of the Diving Cup started yesterday. So this year is an anniversary edition and the organization has announced that more participants than ever are taking part.
A total of 170 springboard divers from 33 different diving clubs take part. This is an important match, because the divers will have the opportunity to qualify for the national diving selection.
The match also has a playful touch to it. Ralf Mackenbach, who participated in ‘Sterren Springen’
(Stars Diving), will be competing against Tanja Dexters. She has won the Belgian version of this television programme.
The Diving Cup will end on Sunday.
