EINDHOVEN – On Friday, a huge portrait of Vincent van Gogh will be hung in the arrivals hall of Eindhoven Airport.
The canvas is 154 square meters in size and all the places that the artist lived and worked will be on the canvas, written in five languages.The canvas is an initiative of the Van Gogh Brabant foundation. This event is in line with the plans the city of Eindhoven has to leverage the Van Gogh Brand more effectively. The city council feel the artist could be of great economic value to Eindhoven.Van Gogh lived and worked in Nuenen, but was often seen in Eindhoven, painting in Genneper Park.A huge portrait was also unnveiled at the end of May near the watermill in Nuenen. A field has also been sown with flower seeds, when they bloom they will form the face of the famous painter.
