One of the Belgian suspects of the Vestdijk attack in January will be extradited to the Netherlands, the Court of Cassation decided on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old suspect is expected to arrive in the Netherlands within 10 days. He will be retained in custody at least until the first Court session.Appeal against the extradition of the second Belgian suspect will be re-examined on 28 May.The two Belgians are considered to be the main suspects in the ill-treatment case.On 4 January, a 21-year-old man from Oirschot was severely beaten by a group a boys on the Vestdijk in Eindhoven. The victim was left unconscious. Camera footage of the mistreatment received a lot of media coverage.
